Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm (Full Time)

Location:  Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)

Pay: $28-$35/hr, Based on experience. Overtime pay available.

Blue United Sourcing is proud to partner with a leading work-truck upfitter specializing in fleet customization and equipment installations to hire a Wiring Installer & Welder for their growing Arizona operation.  The Phoenix-based shop offers comprehensive fleet customization for customer needs— including lighting, installation of service bodies, flatbeds, trailers, specialty equipment, and more. With local manufacturing and a reputation for durable, custom-built products backed by a team of expert craftsmen, our client has been serving contractors, utility companies, government agencies and small businesses throughout Arizona and Nevada for over 30 years.


Position Summary:


We are hiring a dependable Wiring Installer and Welder to join our Phoenix-based team! You will be installing, assembling and MIG welding components of a diverse fleet of work trucks. Work will range from service bodies and lift gates to safety lighting and storage solutions – using various MIG welding techniques and electrical knowledge in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.  Approximately 60% of your time will be spent on electrical work integrated with the truck chassis (12-volt wiring, work-lights, message boards, strobe lights, etc.), with the other 40% spent on welding.You will be creating unique, custom-builds from start-to-finish by taking a blueprint and turning it into a functional work of art!



Key Responsibilities


  • Install and secure wiring components such as lighting or hydraulics on service bodies, flatbeds, and dump bodies

  • MIG weld various equipment and components

  • Install lift gates, ladder racks, storage equipment and hydraulic cranes, air compressors and other work-related equipment

  • Use hand and power tools to assemble, fit, and mount parts on trucks and trailers

  • Accurately follow blueprints, diagrams, and installation instructions

  • Maintain an organized, hazard-free work area

  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors on-site


Required Qualifications


  • 3+ years of experience in welding/lighting installation

  • Experience in 12-volt wiring

  • Ability to interpret installation diagrams and instructions and execute accordingly

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Able to withstand a physically demanding environment. You will be welding from all positions, at times in extreme heat. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.

  • Willingness and ability to learn quickly

  • Experience with various hand and power tools. You must own the basic tools required for this position. A list will be provided.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
